Setting up Risk
Setting up the Risk & Adventure exhibit at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. Interesting space to work with from a curatorial perspective - very long space to navigate. The graffiti'd walls are part of a prior exhibit, but we only had 6 hours for set up (including painting the plinths). Screens were for the video loop, as linked above.

Risk & Adventure
Risk & Adventure/ starched canvas and lace
Collaborative project with the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, where fashion students were asked to respond to the same brief as artists for the 4th Auckland Triennial: what is adventure and risk in art today.
This ying-yang corset is designed to bring to light the intrigue of paradoxical subjects, such as beautiful ugly and the curious nature of our discomfort when faced with an unfamiliar subject difficult to classify: Is there beauty within the ugly, or do we appreciate the faults of imperfection more so than perfection itself?
